3 technological devices that I did not want and now I use in my house practically daily

The way of doing things in Spain has changed a lot in the last two decades. From the normalization of the computers first and the mobiles later, The way to communicate, work or flirt is not the same as at the end of the last century. This also applies to many other tasks we do at home.

Due to my work I am constantly testing all kinds of devices, from smartphones to watches, going through devices designed to use at home. Normally the tests are a few weeks I check if something is a whim or, on the contrary, something really useful. There are three that have highlighted: the electronic book, the hand vacuum and the air fryer.

The latter is what I found each of the three devices that I have selected for this article. The three are very different, but they have in common At first I thought they were not suitable for me and I have noticed, with the passing of the months, that I use them almost daily.

Electronic book

Since my adolescence I have been a fairly avid reader. I have read all kinds of things, from philosophy to novels through essays and comics. A year I wanted to see how much I was able to read, and I exceed 60 titles. At the moment I no longer read so much, but I read the same as 10 years ago.

It was in 2012 when they gave me my first Kindle, Amazon’s electronic book, something that I had not bought because I didn’t think it could be interesting for me. In addition, I said it openly, that the Kindle was not a device that I wanted, because if so, I would have bought it myself. At that time I bought several books a month, and stored them at home without major problem.

Then came the move years, with 4 in 4 years, and moving the books began to be a problem. In addition, as I already had, I started using it and I saw how convenient it was to be able to carry several titles without having to load with different books, some of them very bulky and heavy.

That first Kindle ended up being replaced by a more advanced one, the Kindle Paperwhite that allowed me something I could not do before: Read on bed at night without having to light any lightavoiding annoying whoever sleep with me. This is one of the things that made me realize that it would be weird that I return to paper books. Since then I have bought some punctual paper title, because I knew the author or for another reason, as well as I have received several as a gift. By Less than 100 euros on offerthis book is currently essential for me.

I still value physical books, on paper, sometimes I reread what I already have, but I don’t see myself stop using the Kindle to always use paper books againboth for the highest price they have, above all, for the great space they occupy. And that I have no intention of moving until, like little, a few decades.

Hand vacuum

The second device that did not believe that he would use so much is a hand -free hand vacuum cleaner. In my specific case it is one of Xiaomi, the Raidmi F8 Lite, but Any vacuum cleaner could serve me. Unlike other Xiaomi products, I don’t have it connected to Xiaomi Home, and I don’t think it was necessary. The price varies greatly depending on the model, but even the cheapest, of 100 euros or less are fully usable in normal houses. Another issue is if we have pets, and then we may value some more powerful and expensive.

This product has become a simple way to clean the house when it is time to do it in a little more intense waybeyond the cleansing that the vacuum robots do frequently without me having to pay attention. In addition, I have realized that it is that type of devices that everyone values ​​once.

Being able to clean in the dining room when eating in a simple way, being able to aspire quickly, not having to use a cable vacuum, search the plug, have to take care not to get the cable … and even less look It is easier to use and much less heavysomething that many people will care.

Air fryer

The last electronic utensil that I have incorporated into my day to day has been an air fryer from Xiaomi. As I did not use the cooking oven I imagined that it would not be useful. But a change in the middle of last year made me rethink my food, seeking to cook more without oils.

This caused the air fryer to gain importance and currently use it, as little, once or twice a week, when no more. It is very healthy to cook with her and, in addition, it is also very comfortablenot having to clean many kitchen utensils.

Specifically the model I have is the Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer 6.5Lwhich has a larger basket and allows me to make food for two people without needing several cooking batches. For those who live alone Maybe smaller models are sufficient.
