2025 is going to be a very important year in the smartphone sector, with the arrival of major renewals in all ranges; Competition is tougher than ever, and companies cannot rest on their laurels. Even Xiaomi, the best-selling in Spain, has decided to start the year strong with several launches, and now one of the most important is confirmed.
We are not talking about the Xiaomi 15, although that device is also expected in the coming weeks, but about the Redmi Note 14. The importance of this generation is evident when Lei Jun himself, CEO of Xiaomi, has been in charge of announcing its global launch, after several months in which it was only available in China.
There is still a lot of data to be specified, but everything indicates that the Redmi Note 14 range will be available with several devices in a wide price range; But they will all have two things in common: photography and AI. This has been confirmed by Lei Jun, who has defined the Redmi Note 14 range with the words “iconic shots” and “Made with AI”.
Therefore, we can infer that the Redmi Note 14 should represent a leap in cameras compared to the last generation, although the sensors will probably not be the only difference. Xiaomi intends to bring AI to the lowest rangessomething surprising considering that until now it has been exclusive to the most expensive mobile phones. The AI functions that will be available have not been announced, but it is expected that they will have something to do with enhancing and editing photos.
In reality, the Redmi Note 14 range was already launched in India last December, so, although there will be differences, it is possible to get an idea of what the new devices will be like.

In India, the range is divided into five models: Redmi Note 14 4G, Redmi Note 14 5G, Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G, Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G and Redmi Nonte 14 Pro+ 5G. The basic model would have a 6.67-inch screen with AMOLED technology and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The Redmi Note 14 will be presented for the global market, including Spain, next January 10; Therefore, there is no need to wait long to know its details. In fact, it will be a very busy few days for Xiaomi, as its POCO brand is expected to present its new model, the POCO X7, which is based on the Redmi Turbo 4 that was presented yesterday for China.
