Just a month and a few days of the launch of the third beta, Google has deployed Android 16 Beta 4 that brings with it a large number of novelties that we will show below and that draw part of what will be the great major update that would come before summer.

One of the curiosities that appear in the new beta 4 is the emphasis that Google puts in the gesture navigation system in which it now includes the possibility of testing through a demo from the adjustments. It seems that not all users are accustomed to gestures on an Android mobile and continue with the navigation keys, so there is now a very visual demo that indicates the three most important gestures: go to start, go back and change between apps.
There are also several touch -ups in certain aspects of the design to improve the visualization of the card dedicated to the media reproductionwhich now appears darker to better visualize the art of the album or artist that is being reproduced on an Android mobile.

Following the new closing option that arrived in Beta 3, in the menu that appears with a long touch on an app from the recent view (that screen from which an app or all can be closed), now two surprising options are included: screen capture and select. So the difference from the options of this menu to what was in Android 15 will be very striking and more useful.
There are two other important changes in the interface design. One of them is a small change in the typography of the clock in the upper status bar. It is not that it is excessive, but now it will look better than in the last beta of Android 16, which appeared very small.

In the Always On Display (AOD) screenwhich can be configured to show notifications or the clock even when the screen is off, the dynamic color is now applied to some of the watches that can be activated on this screen. When dynamic, it will use the predominant colors of the wallpaper or the color palette that has been defined to take some or other tones and thus bathe the different elements of the mobile interface, as well as apps such as calls.
