Chromecast users carry a bad streak. Some of Chromecast’s older models stopped working suddenly and without warning last week, because of a problem with the certificates that made the devices not “reliable” and did not connect with the mobile. Taking into account that Google no longer sells any Chromecast model, having been replaced by the Google TV Streamer, it was fearful that this was a case of ‘programmed obsolescence’.
Fortunately, Google launched a solution to repair the Chromecast, and in its defense, the company tried to help users once the failure was discovered.
