There is an application that practically everyone in Spain installs as soon as they buy and configure a new phone, that is WhatsApp. It is about the favorite app of many people when using a messaging platform. In fact, its large user base is one of its main advantages.
It is not the only one, since the application has evolved over the years until it has become a true Swiss Army knife when it comes to communication. It has such interesting options as making video calls, sending files and even voice notes, something that many people don’t like too much because it is not always possible to hear them at the moment.
The Free Android
Thanks to the new function that the company has introduced and that is already reaching all users, it will be possible to transcribe the voice notes that arrive on WhatsApp. In fact, if you don’t have the function already, it is only a matter of time before it arrives, since its deployment has begun in Spain.
Transcribe messages
The messaging application has already launched its new function in Spain. Thanks to this it will be possible know what our contacts say in the audios they send us without even having to listen to them. This transcription function will take care of these, which is totally private and end-to-end encrypted.
The company clarifies that not even they can access the content of said transcripts, so the audio messages will remain completely private. To activate this option you have to go to the Settings section and then open the Chats section. Here, it will be enough to enable the message transcription option, after which you will have to select the language and download a data package.
After that, we will only have to go to one of the conversations in which we have received an audio and select it by holding down on it. When it is selected, you will have to open the menu with the three dots at the top right and click on transcribe.
This will open a small box below each audio that has been selected and what has been said will appear in text. It must be said that Its effectiveness depends largely on the person’s diction that you have recorded the audio and the use of words that you recognize, since there are times when you can get lost with colloquial language or when naming a brand.
