Google Home is testing a new feature that will allow family and friends to manage smart devices. These are the two new accesses that will be available: “Administrator” who will have full access to the account and device permissions, and “Member” for users who require more limited access.

Administrators can add, delete and manage users, add and delete devices and link subscriptions to the account used in Home. On the other hand, there are members who are in charge of basic aspects such as viewing the streaming video source from security cameras or adjusting certain personal options such as voice or face detection.
But there is more for members and they are two levels of permissions. One is for “Settings” which completely control devices in the home and those broadly dedicated to automation and Nest WiFi features. The second is “Activity”, and is responsible for authorizing access to the device and the history of devices such as cameras, locks and smart sensors.
