FNMT is the official app of the National Mint and Stamp Factory and has been updated since last year to provide another great option in Spain for requesting a digital certificate from your mobile: using the DNIe to verify the user’s identity. But the best option is video call identification which is also available from this free app.
And until January 31, the issuance of the digital certificate by video identification is free of charge for people and entities affected by DANA on October 29th. In fact, Ruth Merino, counselor of the Treasury, announced that it is extended until that date so that affected people can request economic and tax aid.
Precisely My Citizen Folder is an app that becomes essential for access public administrations and thus process them. With the digital certificate installed, you can also access many others such as MiDGT or the new Social Security Importass, so the mobile phone becomes an essential tool.
FNMT allows you to identify yourself by video call with a cost that normally has a price of 2.99 euros plus VAT in order to proceed to the reception of the mail that has the digital certificate and its installation (which are several very simple steps).
This application also allows you to use your DNIe, although if you do not have the envelope in which the access PIN was provided when the DNI was issued, you will have to request another one, so it is recommended the use of video calling for identification of the person with these steps below:

The Free Android
- Download and install FNMT from the Google Play Store on Android and the App Store on an iPhone.
- Start and click on “Request certificate”
- On the next screen choose “Video identification €2.99 plus VAT”.
- The next screen is dedicated to the terms and conditions. Go to the end and click on “Accept and continue”.
- The next thing is to enter the DNI and then the first surname on the next screen.
- An email is requested that will have to be repeated to validate it.
- The next thing is to check the inbox to confirm the person within 24 hours.
- A mobile phone number to receive the video call at the selected time and you will only need to have the identification document on hand (it will have to be shown on both sides during the recording) to proceed to identification with an agent.
Once all the steps have been completed The digital certificate will be received via email in order to proceed to its installation in a very simple way to have the certificate ready on the smartphone.
With the certificate installed are recommended use the aforementioned apps such as My Citizen Folder, which even allows you to download the Birth Certificate; Importass, to download the work life report among other procedures; or MiDGT that allows you to show your driving license with a QR code on the screen.
